Human remains discovered in Edmonton alley identified as 33-year-old woman

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Unit continues to investigate the suspicious death of a woman whose remains were found in a Sherwood neighbourhood alley earlier this month.

Citizens walking in an alley west of 149 Street between 92 and 93 Avenue found the remains.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Aug. 16, 2019.

According to a media release, the remains are those of a 33-year-old Terri Ann Rowan.

Investigators are now treating her death as suspicious and would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or spoken to Terri Ann in the week leading up to her remains being found on August 15, 2019.

The cause and manner of death are not being released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.
