The Winnipeg police homicide unit is investigating after a man was shot and killed outside a house in the city’s North End.

At 9:25 a.m., Monday, police responded to reports of a man down in the front yard of a residence at the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man.

He has been identified as Darlus Dary Darrien McKay, 19.

Mckay died outside what neighbours called a “known drug house.”

A witness said he heard a gunshot and saw a man running away. He then saw McKay lying motionless on the ground.
