Two teens charged in stabbing death of 14-year-old girl at Halloween party

Winnipeg police have made two arrests in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old girl on the weekend.

On Saturday night, police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 100 block of Kinver Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located two female victims, a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old. Both were transported to hospital in critical condition.

The 14-year-old succumbed to her injuries.

The 18-year-old victim was upgraded to stable condition.

Police believe a dispute during a Halloween party at the residence escalated to a physical altercation.

On Monday, two suspects were located and placed under arrest.

A 16-year-old girl from Winnipeg has been charged with:

– Second Degree Murder
– Attempt to Commit Murder

An 18-year-old girl from Winnipeg has been charged with:

– Second Degree Murder
– Attempt to Commit Murder

Both were detained in custody.
