
Winnipeg police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a man who was shot and killed at a home in the North End, last week.
On November 13, police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Dufferin Avenue for a report of suspicious circumstances.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man who appeared to have been shot.
A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death to be a homicide.
The victim was identified as Dustin Cree Baker, 21.
On Friday, members of the Homicide Unit made an arrest in the murder of Baker.
Khenedy Xaiyasen, 29, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
He was detained in custody.
Baker’s death was the city’s 41st homicide of 2019.
