RCMP seize large amount of drugs and cash during raids, arrest nine people

Police made a number of arrests and seized a substantial amount of drugs and cash following a series of raids in Winnipeg and the Interlake on Wednesday morning.

The RCMP Organized Crime Team in Manitoba executed nine search warrants as part of an ongoing organized crime investigation. Of the nine: seven were executed in Winnipeg, one in St. Laurent, Manitoba, and one in Calgary, Alberta.

RCMP say nine people including a full-patch Hells Angel member were arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Money laundering charges were also laid in connection with the raids.

The investigation to date, has resulted in a substantial seizure of methamphetamine, cocaine, cash and a number of motor vehicles.

The total amount of drugs and cash seized has yet to be determined, however, it is expected to be one of the largest meth seizures in Manitoba.

The accused are:

Kenny Erstelle, 38, a full-patch member of the Hells Angels.
Lord Kofi Agyapong-Mensah, 40-years-old
Anthony Cerezo-Brennan, 31-years-old
Ryan Cerezo-Brennan, 32-years old
Akhome Manotham, 42-years-old
Dillon Middleton, 25-years-old
Ritchie Orbegoso, 34-years-old
Linda Pelletier, 41-years-old
Jian Shen, 37-years-old

RCMP say more information will be released at a press conference on Dec. 10.
