Saskatoon police investigating 16th homicide of 2019

Police were called to the 200 block of Avenue X North after reports of gun fire.

Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Saskatoon on Saturday morning.

Saskatoon Police and Medavie Services were called to the 200 block of Avenue X North at approximately 7:20 a.m., after reports of gun fire.

A 35-year-old man was found injured. He was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The victim’s death is being ruled a homicide.

Family members have identified him as Winston Littlecrow, according to Global News.

Investigators with Major Crimes, Target Enforcement and Forensic Identification have been called in to investigate.

This is the 16th homicide in Saskatoon this year.
