Inmate serving life sentence dies in custody at Stony Mountain

A 34-year-old man who was serving a life sentence at a Manitoba prison died on Sunday.

Tyson Roulette, an inmate from Stony Mountain Institution died while in custody, says Correctional Services of Canada.

The former reputed leader of the Indian Posse street gang had been serving a life sentence for mischief causing danger to life, attempted murder – use firearm, and manslaughter since January 31, 2011.

Roulette’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

CSC did not specify how Roulette died.

The Institution is investigating.
