Winnipeg man charged with second-degree murder after fatal stabbing of family member

Police have charged a man who confessed to the stabbing death of a relative.

On Friday, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a man entered the Winnipeg police headquarters building and told officers he had killed a family member.

Soon after, a 911 caller reported finding an injured man at a residence in the first 100 block of Highwater Path.

Emergency services attended the residence and located a deceased male with stab wound injuries.

The victim has been identified as Reynaldo Ramirez, 54.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation.

Milles Anthony Ramirez, 31, of Winnipeg, has been charged with second-degree murder.

He was detained in custody.

This is Winnipeg’s 44th homicide of 2019.
