The RCMP in Manitoba respond to two separate deaths due to exposure over the weekend.
According to a media release, on Saturday, at approximately 11:40 am, Selkirk RCMP received a report of an unresponsive male found on a trail in Selkirk Park.
Officers attended along with EMS and located a 52-year-old man from Selkirk, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A short time later, at approximately 3:00 pm, Gillam RCMP received a report of an unresponsive female found in an open area off of Butnau Road, near the baseball diamonds, in Gillam.
A 48-year-old woman from the Fox Lake Cree Nation was located and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Although exposure is suspected in both of the deaths, the investigations remain open as RCMP await autopsy results.
