Winnipeg police investigate stabbing outside New West Hotel

Winnipeg police are investigating after a man was stabbed outside the New West Hotel on Main Street.

On Tuesday, at around 7:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the 700 block of Main Street for a report of an injured male that had walked into a business.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
