Winnipeg police charge suspect with first degree murder after fatal shooting in South Pointe

Winnipeg police have charged a man in connection to a fatal shooting in South Pointe, last year.

On November 4, at around 11:45 p.m., police found a deceased man with apparent gunshot wounds at a residence in the first 100 block of Tim Sale Drive. The victim was identified as Rig Debak Moulebou, 20-years-old.

On January 22, police arrested Arnold Mbaka Nduta, 23-years-old. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

Nduta was detained in custody.

In high school, Moulebou was a well-known and popular football player for the Daniel McIntyre Maroons and won a championship with the team in 2017.

His death marked the city’s 40th homicide of 2019.
