Thompson RCMP seek information about man’s activities before his death on March 8

Thompson RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining information about the activities of a 21-year-old man from Gods River, before his death last week.

According to a media release, on March 8, at approximately 9:35 am, Thompson RCMP received a report of a male in medical distress near Spruce Road in the community.

Officers attended to the location and found a man unresponsive in the snow. The man was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

He has been identified as Preston Yellowback, 21-years-old, from Gods River.

It is believed Yellowback had been at a house party located on Juniper Drive in Thompson from 2:15 am to 3:00 am.

On March 11, RCMP said no criminality is suspected, but the investigation remains ongoing as they wait for autopsy results.
