Winnipeg police identify man fatally shot on College Avenue

Winnipeg police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting at a home in the city’s north end.

According to a media release, on Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a male shot at a multi-unit residence in the 500 block of College Avenue.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but was pronounced deceased.

The man has now been identified as Vincent Scott Ross, 24.

Members of the Homicide Unit continue to investigate.

This is Winnipeg’s 7th homicide of 2020.
