Winnipeg police issue Canada-wide warrant for suspect in fatal shooting of man on College Avenue

Christian James Bruce, 28, of Winnipeg, is wanted for second-degree murder.

Winnipeg police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a murder suspect after the fatal shooting of a man at a home in the city’s North End.

On Monday, at 3:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a male shot at a multi-unit residence in the 500 block of College Avenue.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Vincent Scott Ross, 24.

According to a media release, members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and have obtained a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of Christian James Bruce, 28, of Winnipeg, for second-degree murder.

Bruce is described as Indigenous in appearance, 5’9” in height, approximately 146 lbs in weight and has a medium build. He has brown eyes and is believed to have black hair. He has various skull-related tattoos on both arms as well as tribal-style tattoos on his face.

The public is cautioned not to approach Bruce.
