Saskatoon police investigate fatal shooting of 19-year-old woman

Saskatoon police are investigating the death of a woman as a homicide after she was found injured on Monday morning.

According to a news release, police and ambulance personnel responded to a 911 call of an injured female on April 13th, at approximately 3:40 am., near the intersection of Avenue T and 21st Street.

The victim was transported to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

Police later confirmed she had been shot.

Family have identified the woman as 19-year-old Tanya Alcrow.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

No arrests have been made.

The Police Major Crime Section continue to investigate.
