Winnipeg police arrest suspect after man fatally stabbed at Manwin hotel

Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a suspect after a man was fatally stabbed at a Main Street hotel.

On Thursday evening, police responded to reports that a male had been stabbed at the Manwin hotel. Upon arrival, officers found an injured man and began first aid. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Steven Anthony Sealy, 25.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued to investigate.

On Friday morning, a male suspect was arrested.

Norman Richard Pruden, 35, of Winnipeg, has been charged with manslaughter.

He was detained in custody.

Investigators believe the two men knew each other and had been involved in an altercation inside the hotel when the stabbing occurred.
