A 32-year-old inmate has died at a Manitoba prison.
On Sunday, April 26, Farron Cory Rowan, an inmate from Stony Mountain Institution died while in custody according to Correctional Service Canada (CSC).
In a news release, CSC said Rowan, 32-years-old, had been serving a sentence of three years, five months and one day for taking a motor vehicle/vessel without consent and robbery since September 11, 2018.
Rowan’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, CSC will review the circumstances.
CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
