Edmonton police investigate death of man found injured; seek public help

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the death of Matthew Jordan Gladue, 36, and seeking information on his last known whereabouts.

According to a media release, just before 7 p.m., on Monday, police responded to the report of an injured male in an alley between 103 and 104 Street, just north of 112 Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located Gladue with life-threatening injuries.

EMS treated and transported him to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives are investigating.

While an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, investigators confirmed the identity of Gladue through fingerprints and have notified his family.

Police are releasing his name in advance of autopsy to obtain more information on his last known whereabouts and associations.

Police say they are looking to speak with anyone who had contact with Gladue on the morning or afternoon of July 13, 2020.
