Winnipeg police identify victim of fatal stabbing on Kate Street

Winnipeg police have identified a man who was fatally stabbed outside home on Kate Street last week.

According to a media release, on September 23, at 9:10 p.m., a man was involved in an altercation in front of a residence in the 100 block of Kate Street with an unknown suspect. During the incident, a weapon was produced, and the victim was stabbed. He was transported to hospital in critical condition. On September 25, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased victim has been identified as Zachary Paul Rae, 18-years-old.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.
