Winnipeg police investigating after man shot in Brooklands neighbourhood

Winnipeg police are investigating a shooting that happen in the Brooklands neighbourhood on Sunday night.

According to a media release, on October 4, at 9:16 p.m., police responded to the first 100 block of Elkhorn Street for a report of a male that had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured man in his 20’s. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
