
Winnipeg police are investigating a shooting that happened in front of a convenience store at the corner of Isabel Street and Elgin Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Witnesses said a male victim was taken to hospital.

Crime scene tape and patrol units blocked off a section of Isabel Street from William Avenue to Logan Avenue.
Police asked the public to avoid the area.
Nearby schools were put on lockdown after the shooting.
About half an hour later, police said on Twitter that the lockdown had been lifted.
Police haven’t yet confirmed the condition of the victim or what led up to the shooting.
