Winnipeg police charge two suspects after man found injured at Ross Avenue home

Winnipeg police have charged two suspects after a man was assaulted with a weapon at a home in the city’s Centennial neighbourhood early Monday.

According to a media release, shortly after 1:00 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Ross Avenue for the report of a male who had been assaulted.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable condition.

Soon after, another injured man was found at a residence in the 600 block of McGee Street. The man was taken to hospital where he was treated and released.

Police say he was arrested, along with a female suspect.

George Day 19, has been charged with several firearms and weapons related charges.

He was remanded into custody.

Brittany Day, 25, has been charged with assault and weapons-related charges.

She was released on an undertaking.
