Winnipeg police issue Canada-wide arrest warrant for murder suspect

Winnipeg police are asking the public for their assistance with locating a murder suspect after a man died from an assault in the Wolseley area.

On Thursday, at 3:26 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Craig Street for a report of an assault at a residence. 

Upon arrival, officers found a seriously injured man inside a home and began to provide emergency first aid, including CPR. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased victim has been identified as Wendell John Boulanger, 44-years-old, of Winnipeg.

Members of the homicide unit continued to investigate and on Friday a Canada-wide arrest warrant for second-degree murder was issued for Issa Musa, 27-years-old, of Winnipeg.

Musa is described as Black, 5’10” in height and weighs approximately 162 lbs. He has a medium build, brown eyes and black hair. He is known to have tattoos on both forearms.

Police warn the public not to approach Musa if he’s seen.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
