Winnipeg police have a murder suspect in custody after a man died last week from an assault in the Wolseley area.

On January 28, Wendell Boulanger, 44-years-old, was found seriously injured inside a home on the 500 block of Craig Street. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for Issa Musa, 27-years-old, of Winnipeg.

On February 1, the homicide unit arrested Musa for the killing of Boulanger.

Musa has been charged with second-degree murder.
