Winnipeg police identify man’s remains found on Stella Avenue

Winnipeg police have identified a man whose remains were discovered on Wednesday morning in the city’s Dufferin neighbourhood.

At 7:15 a.m., police responded to the area of Stella Avenue and McGregor Street for a report that possible human remains had been found. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the remains were that of a deceased person.

The deceased has been identified as Michael Dwayne Gunnar Dahlin, 28.

Members of the homicide unit are investigating his death.
