Winnipeg police identify victim in Magnus Avenue homicide

Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide after a 35-year-old man was found injured in the city’s North End and died in hospital.

On Tuesday, at 6:00 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of Magnus Avenue for the report of a seriously injured male.

Upon arrival, police administered emergency first-aid to a male victim. He was transported to hospital by ambulance in critical condition. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have identified the victim as Stuart Bruce Fritzley from Winnipeg.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.
