Winnipeg police have arrested and charged three people after a man was found dead inside a home in the William Whyte area last month.
On May 20, at 3:52 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Burrows Avenue for a report of a dead body at a residence. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man.
A post-mortem examination confirmed the man’s death as a homicide.
The deceased victim has been identified as Trevor Clayton Dorion, 33, of Winnipeg.
Members of the Homicide Unit continued to investigate his death.
On May 30, a man and a woman were located and placed under arrest. On Tuesday, police arrested a woman who was Dorion’s girlfriend.
Investigators believe that Dorion was at his residence on May 8, at which time he was assaulted over a prolonged period. As a result, he succumbed to his injuries and his body was concealed within the home.
Cary Phoenix Atkinson, 26, Season Jade Lavallee, 26, and Shelly Ruth Kirkness, 34, have been charged with first-degree murder.
