Winnipeg police investigate fatal stabbing on Arlington Street

Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide after a 31-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the city’s St. Matthews area on Friday morning.

According to a media release, on July 30, at approximately 9:15 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured, non-responsive male at a residence in the 400 block of Arlington Street.

Officers located an injured man who had been stabbed and provided emergency first-aid until the paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased victim has been identified as Tanner Daniel Kerr of Winnipeg.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.
